Alex

Alex is a North Carolina native who worked in film and television as a child. Young Alex can be see in commercials for Target, Rooms-To-Go Kids Furniture, and NASCAR. She also played the lead role of Princess Zulie in "Barney: The Land of Make Believe" and is the face of Laylie on the cover of "Laylie's Daring Quest", part of the Life of Faith book series. 

 

     After discovering a love for live performance, Alex studied Drama at the North Carolina School of the Arts where she received her High School Diploma. She went on to receive her BFA in Musical Theatre and Minor in Dance from a University in North Carolina in 2014. 

 

     Shortly after college, Alex set sail on the high seas on various contracts with Norwegian Cruise Line, performing in productions including Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (Diva 1), Legally Blonde the Musical (Pilar), Burn the Floor (Principle Female Vocalist), and Vegas the Show! (Principle Vocalist). She also performed regionally in productions including West Side Story (Francisca) at North Shore Music Theatre and Hairspray (Dynamite) at Flat Rock Playhouse.

 

    In 2018 Alex toured the US and Canada in Motown the Musical, beginning as a Swing and later transitioning into the roles of Florence Ballard and Suzanne dePasse. Later that year she made her Broadway debut in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical as Janelle Woods. After a year on Broadway, Alex hit the road again, this time to lead the 1st National Tour of Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, representing legendary disco queen Donna Summer. 

 

    Alex went back to Broadway in 2021 as part of the Original Broadway cast of Diana the Musical. The following year she was the Principle Standby at the New York City Center for Encore!'s production of Tap Dance Kid,  Directed by Kenny Leon and Choreographed by Jared Grimes.

 

    In the summer of 2023 she began work as an original cast member with A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical, Directed by Michael Mayer and Choreographed by Steven Hoggett. Alex was honored to be part of the creation of the show, it's Boston 'try-out', and the show's transfer to Broadway. ​Currently Alex can be seen jumping in for one of the Schyuler Sisters, on the Angelica Tour of Hamilton. 

​

     When she is not teaching or performing, Alex enjoys soaking up the sun, traveling with her husband, eating foods from around the world, and petting every dog in sight. 

 

Alex is currently based inLos Angeles and is a member of the Actor's Equity Association.
